The Ride around Elk Lake August 26, 2014

August 26, 2014 by Norm Leslie

Today was our first ride with the new start time of 9.00 am. The response was mixed. Jack thought it was great because he had to be up at 6.00am in any case. Tom lay awake most of the night for fear of sleeping in!

John looked very spiffy in his Tour de Victoria shirt - very colour co-ordinated with matching bike and gloves! Well done, John. As someone pointed out later, we should have taken a picture of him for the Blog or Photo Gallery!

I tried using CycleMeter for the first time today - see the Apps page. John has used the app and his experience is that it is a bit of a memory hog - I would second that opinion after today.

This link will take you to the details of today's ride - I think I need a bit more experience/training on how to best use the app. Any advice support welcomed.

It was an awesome day = perfect for a bike ride.

I should add, the coffee stop was at Cordoba Bay Golf Club.
