Cycling Alternatives

December 10, 2015 by Norm Leslie

Just when you thought you had seen every possible use for a bike, here are a couple of new ones to me at least. Since bad weather "stopped cycling" -[cricket fans will recognize the phrase], I have opted to post a blog with miscellaneous cycling related items,

First, courtesy of Jim, is Cycle Ball, see above- played indoors with teams of two cyclists each on a "fixie", no brakes. It seems particularly popular in Europe. If you are a tennis fan, you will notice that there is name more associated with tennis who is a champion at Cycle Ball. Check out the videos at the link.

The second comes from yours truly, who stumbled across Cycle Polo when on the Australia Broadcasting website. With a little more research I learned that Cycle Polo is quite big in our own back yard.

Jim has just forwarded another link, this time for the Victoria Christmas Lights Ride this Saturday, December 12, 2015
