The Peloton at Cattle Point, January 1, 2016

Welcome to 2016

January 01, 2016 by Norm Leslie

Not everyone was celebrating Hogmanay until the wee small hours. Nine hardy riders met at Victoria's famous Mile O under beautiful sunny skies, low temperatures and frosty streets. The Dallas Road waterfront was a great choice by Tom as the frost slowly left as we rode into moderate winds while soaking up the gorgeous ocean and mountain views. Riders were all very cautious and kudos to all that no incidents nor near misses were recorded. Coffee was at Starbucks in Cadboro Bay as our old standby, Olive Olio's was closed. Our favourite lady with the cute, friendly  spaniel (she is always at Olive Olio's when we are there) was also there to make us feel totally at home at SB. We sat outside and those closest to the building benefited from overhead heaters. Great way to ring in the New Year!!
