Deep Cove.jpg

High Road and Low Road

January 08, 2016 by Norm Leslie

Despite the somewhat unpleasant weather six riders showed up. Five riders took the Wain Road route to the Deep Cove market  where we met up with Jack Beveridge for coffee and high caloric fuel. The conversation was of an unusually elevated kind involving a highly technical discussion on the time gaps required from various starting points along the route so that everyone arrives for coffee at approximately the same time.  Jack as physicist made the most useful contribution, while the rest of us (Hans, Jeff, Ian Jim and Tom) contributed largely irrelevant remarks on boolean algebra, (editor's note - this is the only link I could find combining boolean algebra and bicycles) differential equations and bathtubs filling and loosing water.

The ride home was uneventful, some of us following Ian's preferred route along East Saanich Road.  Everyone checked in at Michell's Farm on the way back and Hans and Ian rode the additional miles back into town. Tough guys.

Thanks to Tom for providing the content.
