Photo free ride

February 26, 2016 by Norm Leslie

Tuesday dawned clear and sunny!! Nine riders assembled at Hatley parking (most cycling there) and Jim, with other commitments, brought his dog to see the group off. In spite of recent rains, the track was mostly dry and hard and all enjoyed the weather and rural setting of this ride ( Dave N turned back having only 5 min. left?).

Coffee was taken outside in the sunshine at a table near the petting zoo. Conversation centred around the likelihood of a president Trump and other related topics. Doug, having already been incredulous at the re-election of George Bush, was reasonably sure of the Donald’s nomination given the quality of the competition, but still could not believe that Americans could elect him President. He was reminded that “Trump Nation” was similar to “Ford Nation” and that was in Canada.

The return trip went smoothly except for a brisk headwind which was quite tolerable given the sunny weather.

Thanks to Jack for the content.

Two cycling fans

And John C forwarded this information about the new TREK bike store official opening on Harbour Road - if only I were closer, I would attend. So if you are not doing anything on Monday, why not wonder over to their new digs.
